Spoon-Gimme Fiction (A+)

I finally got around to listening to this, and I’ve been listening and listening. Spoon are stuck in the holding tank tipping point as a big name indie rock band with limited almost mainstream attention. Spoon’s Gimme Fiction is a sprawling diverse album, from the rolling, piano-driven "The Beast and Dragon" to the the Prince-ish sexy soul sensations of "I Turn My Camera On" and all the pop and rock music you need in between. It all circles back to Spoon’s distinctive sound and the more you listen the more the more it hooks you..A+ in my book.

Cool
I’m actually going to be putting some Spoon in my playlist at my site tomorrow.
They’re really great. I didn’t want to like them when i first heard them. “Turn My Camera On,” was the first thing I had heard, and even though I *really* like the song, it just got so much attention… I have a bad habit of rejecting things when they start to get hyped.
But the truth is… Spoon is just a great band… period.
