But I had an interesting discussion with someone who made a some-what good point, but as a designer, it is a hard point for me to swallow. They heard that CD baby has kept the site looking that way because they don't want to scare bands off by looking "expensive". And to show that they are more concerned with the function of the site and not the look. I am not sure if that argument is solid. I tend to be attracted to things that look nice (I have to admit that I have bought products because I liked the label design). I am wondering if I have this opinion because I am a designer.
