The Gorillaz seem to have a competitor, Otafuku Rex . I admit I do like the Gorillaz pop concept gig but I think we need another animated concept band like we need another The Bravery…Please, no more sad skinny boys drenched in mascara! But anyway, Otafuku Rex is the brainchild of Brian LeBarton, aka Beck’s keyboard player and the band was birthed by a technology and animation company. The single, Do Me I’m The Best, is pretty darn catchy and has a killer video combining stop-motion animation with
