A List Apart Web Design Survey

October 17th, 2007  |  Published in Design & Art, Trends

A List Apart has conducted a fairly large survey of web designers and professionals. I’m just starting to dig through the findings before I make any judgements, but so far it’s fairly impressive. They are providing the raw data as well to make your own conclusions.

In April 2007, A List Apart and An Event Apart conducted the first survey of people who make websites. Close to 33,000 web professionals answered the survey’s 37 questions, providing the first data ever collected on the business of web design and development as practiced in the U.S. and worldwide.

33,000 responses is a lot of data. To make sense of it, An Event Apart commissioned statisticians Alan Brickman and Larry Yu to translate raw data into meaningful findings. Here we present what they found. Read more and download the findings for yourself.
