The New York Times explores Murakami’s show at the Brooklyn Museum and his collaboration with Louis Vuitton. Obviously there has been major proliferation of brands collaborating with artist for exclusive products providing a myriad of opportunities for both brands and artists. This has created strong opinions around art purity, pop-culture and branding.
