Isolated Tribe Spotted in Brazil

Isolated Tribe Spotted in Brazil

Just when you thought every corner of the world was connected and corrupted by modern culture, think again. The BBC reports that an uncontacted tribe of indigenous people has been documented living in Brazil’s dense rainforest.

One of South America’s few remaining uncontacted indigenous tribes has been spotted and photographed on the border between Brazil and Peru. The Brazilian government says it took the images to prove the tribe exists and help protect its land.

The sad reality is that these people will probably be photographed drinking Coke, listening to iPods and wearing Nike T-shirts tomorrow.  Check out the pictures for yourself

Survival International states that half the world’s 100 uncontacted tribes live in this area. You can learn more about uncontacted indigenous tribes at Survival International.
